Parametric Cost Estimation
Develop and apply models that relate program costs to technical characteristics, scope, and measurable cost drivers.
Parametric Estimation | Cost Engineering | Traceable Cost Intelligence
KMME is developing cost-engineering capabilities and a commercial cost-intelligence product for government agencies, prime contractors, and commercial clients. Its planned offerings focus on defensible, traceable cost intelligence to support informed decisions—from early-concept budgets and proposal pricing through production planning and lifecycle support.
Develop and apply models that relate program costs to technical characteristics, scope, and measurable cost drivers.
Build, document, and evaluate estimating models, including their inputs, assumptions, and applicability.
Calibrate estimating models against relevant data to assess fit, identify limitations, and improve applicability.
Assess development, production, operations, and sustainment costs to support program planning and affordability decisions.
Evaluate how changes in requirements, quantities, schedules, and technical approaches affect estimated costs.
Collect, organize, and document technical, programmatic, and cost data to support estimation and analysis.
Develop structured databases for storing, maintaining, and retrieving cost-estimating data and associated technical information.
Analyze supporting data and document sources, adjustments, and assumptions to strengthen the basis of estimates.
Review proposal cost estimates, supporting data, estimating methodologies, and assumptions for consistency, completeness, traceability, and alignment with solicitation requirements.
Develop program and project schedules, and evaluate activity sequencing, dependencies, milestones, schedule-compression options, resource assumptions, and alignment with cost estimates.
Emphasize links between estimates and their underlying data, assumptions, and technical basis.
Connect technical characteristics and program requirements to cost drivers.
Develop information intended to support budgeting, proposal development, alternative comparisons, and program decisions.
Document methods, assumptions, and limitations to support review and future updates.
Structure estimates to align with MIL-STD-881F Work Breakdown Structures, with detail down to Level 12.
Export estimation results directly to ProPricer™.
Maintain traceability for non-recurring (NRE) and recurring (RE) costs.
We are estimators, not pricers. Estimation combines art and science.
Draw on team experience developing parametric estimation methodologies and establishing parametric estimation groups within other companies.
KMME's team brings more than 75 years of combined professional experience spanning systems engineering, program management, parametric estimation methodology development, and the establishment of parametric estimation groups within other companies.
